
Founded in 1990, the Greater Oregon Chapter is the second largest communications association in the state of Oregon. Our membership represents business and industry, counseling firms, government, associations, hospitals, schools, professional service firms and non-profit organizations.
Our goal is to provide forums to feature topics of general interest to practitioners from every field of the public relations profession. Jan Bohman is the Community Relations Director for the City of Eugene. She provides public relations support for the City Manager, Mayor and City Council, manages the City’s external and internal communications, and leads the citywide interdepartmental team of public information staff. Jan was the co-chair of the Eugene 08 Public Relations Committee.
Phil Weiler is the senior director of the University of Oregon’s Office of Communications. In that role, he is responsible for media relations, Web communications, and graphic design for the state’s flagship university.
