HOW TO JOIN
Join Online. If you are a returning PRSA Web customer, you will be asked to login to your web account with PRSA, and then complete the membership application. If you are a new PRSA Web customer, you will be asked to create a web login as the first step in your application process, and then complete the membership application.

MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS
To qualify for an individual membership, you must devote a substantial portion of time (at least 50%) to the paid professional practice of public relations or to the teaching or administration of public relations curriculum in an Accredited college or university and adhere to the PRSA Member Code of Ethics 2000. If you are currently unemployed, a prior position held within the last five years must meet the above requirement, or one of the following: you hold a degree in Public Relations; you hold another academic degree program which meets the standards for a PRSSA charter; you hold PRSA certification for Education in Public Relations or you have achieved accreditation in Public Relations.

MEMBERSHIP CATEGORIES
Member (M) Dues are $225.00 per year. Initiation fees may also be due. Associate Member There are four types of Associate member as explained below. Associate Members are not eligible to hold certain elected or appointed positions within PRSA.

Professional Resource Center
Members can search and retrieve answers to PR research questions from PRSA’s proprietary electronic database full of industry articles and hundreds of cases from Silver Anvils. The knowledgeable PRC staff are available to offer advice and consulting for the most challenging research questions.

PRSA/IABC Salary Survey 2000
The 2000 Public Relations Society of America and the International Association of Business Communicators survey includes benchmark compensation, opinions about the profession and factors affecting public relations professionals.
